Peruvian player hit in the head with a paper airplane from astounding distance during England match
Sunday, June 01, 2014 by YAHOO SportEngland's friendly against Peru proved to be a routine 3-0 win as they prepare for the World Cup, but the match did include the unusual obstacle of paper airstrikes. Large and impressively accurate paper airplanes landed on the pitch during the game, with one even hitting Peru's Hansell Riojas in the side of the head. Which was more impressive than any of the goals scored at Wembley.
That's what it looked like on television, but look how far away the plane was thrown from!
Forget the football, that's simply incredible.
Joe Hart, Leighton Baines and the referee all had to discard the various flying bits of paper. Surely if England could win with weaponized paper soaring through the skies, they can handle just about anything in Brazil. Maybe.
