Juanfran, very pleased about being picked by Vicente del Bosque as one of the 23-strong World Cup squad players, says he is fully recovered from the injury he sustained in the Champions League final and also showed his support for Diego Costa.

"I am honoured and proud to be in the best team in the world and with the best teammates. The Champions League final is behind us, we werenŽt able to win it despite the hopes we had, but we did win the 'La Liga' title", said Juanfran.

On the subject of Diego Costa: "I'm certain that he will prove to be one of the best in the World Cup and will bring Spain great success. I hope he stays on at Atlético, because, in my opinion, he's one of the best players in the world".

Commenting on Koke: "At just 22, he is one of the best in the world in his position, he will continue to progress. He is the present and the future of the national team, hopefully he'll be captain of Atleti one day, as he would like to be, and help us win important things".

On Villa's MLS move: "It will be extraordinary for MLS to have Villa in their league. He's a good friend of mine and I haven't managed to convince him to stay at Atlético for another year. It will be a challenge for him and I am certain he will be one of the best players in the league, or the best".
