Belgium vs Algeria preview

Wednesday, June 11, 2014 by worldcupresult.com
Belgium are having a renaissance in their form, quality, and pace. Like Colombia or Uruguay, they are with the golden generation. The slate of talents is very hot and it will feel even hotter once the Brazil tournament kicks off.

Thibaut Courtois, the dynamic goalkeeper, would surely shine the brightest among all other owners of the same post. Jan Vertonghen and Vincent Kompany have outstanding skills to dominate as center-backs. Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens, and Kevin Mirallas will add strong flavors in terms of creativity and speed. Marouane Fellaini, Axel Witsel, and Mousa Dembele in the midfield are also stunning. And of course, the side will not be in their complete wheelhouse without Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke in the front.

In addition to having an obviously explosive bomb of talents, Belgium also boast of substantial depth. It applies largely tru to their qualifications performance for the Brazil finals where they were unbeaten in all of their matches and easily dominated their group. On records alone, the team are a monstrous nightmare for their rivals.

Algeria, in comparison, also have good odds at earning excellent results in any of the tournament’s rounds. But that possibility looks lukewarm compared to Belgium’s.

Nabil Ghilas, who is one of Porto’s best bullets, is a powerhouse goal scorer. Ishak Belfodil is a powerful warrior with excellent command of his own maneuvers. He was a big ma at Parma and later, Inter where he was joined by his former Bologna teammate, midfielder Saphir Taider.

Algeria are notorious for starting as dark horses and then eventually as favorites. They are this edition potential best shockers. History could attest to this claim. In 1982, they stunned eventual finalists West Germany. In 1986, they almost won over Brazil. In 2010, they held England in a draw.
