Suarez to miss Uruguay's opening game

Liverpool star Luis Suarez will not start Uruguay's opening World Cup game against Costa, according to various reports.
The news can be interpreted as either a boost for England or an indication that Los Charrúas boss Oscar Tabarez is resting his prized striker ahead of their second Group D clash against the Three Lions.
Suarez underwent knee surgery at the end of last month after limping out of training with Uruguay and there were fears he would not feature in Brazil
However, since then the 27-year-old has insisted he would be fully fit for the tournament and even claimed he could make the opening game against Costa Rica.
But it appears that will not be the case as Tabarez told a press conference his star striker would not start.
"We're just about to go out and train on the pitch now and you never know what will happen but, barring a major upset, my starting line-up will be as follows," he said.
The manager then listed Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani as his starting strikers for the opening Group D match.
