Benzema: "I'm young enough to play in another World Cup"

Saturday, July 05, 2014 by Marca.com

Karim Benzema rued France's loss to Germany in the World Cup quarter-finals, while stressing that time is on his side and targeting Russia 2018.

"I'm happy we made it this far. I'm young enough to play in another World Cup", said the 26-year-old Real Madrid striker.

Benzema felt that he and his teammates "took the game" to Germany, while remarking on the youth of the 'Les Bleus' line-up and their "personality".

The ex-Lyon man also noted that it was "very hot out there", a factor he felt "hindered" France during the 1-0 defeat.
