Kaka: Desperate to take his place in the Brazil squad at a home World Cup
Kaka has admitted he will need to keep performing well for AC Milan if he is to get the chance to play for Brazil at a home World Cup next summer.
The 31-year-old playmaker recognises that he is unlikely to still be in the international reckoning in 2018 and is desperate to take his place in Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad.
He has impressed since returning to Milan from Real Madrid in September and is anxious to maintain his form.
"I hope to be able to play another world tournament, especially because this time it will be played in my country," he said.
"It will depend a lot about what I do here at Milan. I think it could be the last World Cup of my career."
Kaka has taken his goal tally for Milan to 99 so far this season, having enjoyed great success during his first spell at the club between 2003 and 2009, and could get to the century mark against Ajax on Wednesday.
He said: "I hope to score my 100th goal with Milan as soon as possible. Should it happen against Ajax it would be great."
