SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Luis Felipe Scolari, Brazil head coach:

"I understand, I know what happened, I understand what a spot, what a stain this is. I know what shame is all about. I know what it is about. I will keep that and it will never leave me. But I am going to continue with my life. My players will continue with their lives. They are still winners. Life goes on and we have another objective to achieve third place on Saturday."

SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Luis Felipe Scolari, Brazil head coach:

"We did not expect the result that happened yesterday in terms of the result and in terms of goals. We could have won and Germany could have won. Both teams had skills and abilities but of course a result like that is going to go down in history. But we should also record that since 2002 that was Brazil's first semi-final, so our work wasn't so bad. We had a six minute period which was a disaster. This is not what we thought would happen or imagined but it happened. Now let's work to organise our team for the Saturday game which is another important game for us. I have another dream which is to end this competition in third place."

SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Luis Felipe Scolari, Brazil head coach:

"We never conceded a goal like that (Thomas Mueller's opener). After 20 minutes we conceded another goal and a minute later a third. It was a general breakdown. If you ask me 'was it a breakdown from the coaching staff, from the players?' - It was just general. Nobody understood what was going on. The German side was very skilled and very good and they made the most of their opportunities so I'm not going to try to explain this. I don't think my players will have any difficulties in understanding that they made errors and those errors were fatal. We lost the game and could have lost by one or two but we had a rout which we've never had in our history. But the life of my players is not going to end. It happened and from now on they will continue being the players they are. They will continue playing for Brazil and we will continue to be one of the best teams in the world. Probably many of these players, 70 percent of them will play for Brazil in 2018. With a different experience of course."
