There were jubilant scenes in Buenos Aires, as Argentine fans celebrated their semi-final victory over The Netherlands in a penalty shoot-out.

And the supporters were quick to taunt host nation and South American rivals Brazil, who suffered a humilating 7-1 defeat at the hands of Germany in their semi-final on Tuesday.

Argentina, who have won the trophy twice before in 1978 and 1986, will be eyeing up a third success in the final and one fan reflected on their win against the Dutch -

SOUNDBITE (Spanish): Rodrigo Dario, Argentina fan:

"Argentina deserved to win, we were the better team throughout the game against Holland, despite the fact there had been a lot of hype about Holland's style. We played like a complete team, that did not just depend on Messi."

Argentina will face three time World Cup winners Germany in the Maracana on Sunday.
