SOUNDBITE Philip Lahm (German)

'We are optimistic. We want to finally bring that world championship title back to Germany. So that's our big challenge on Sunday. We are absolutely focused on that and want to put in another good performance once again and finally become world champions.'

SOUNDBITE Philip Lahm (German)

'The fact that many of us have already played in important matches, no matter whether those have been successes or not. Many players have that experience already in Champion League finals, cup finals and in different leagues - playing on the highest level. That is important for a team and for the players. If you look at our squad, every player has that experience already and that is certainly an advantage in such a tournament.'

SOUNDBITE Thomas Mueller (German)

'I don't know what kind of match it will be. I don't think the score will be 5-0 at half time - although that would be nice. But that's not realistic. It could well be a tight match like the ones against France or Algeria. We will stay calm, no matter how critical and tough the situation might be, just as we did in the other matches. And we will quicken the pace over and over again. We will see what the outcome will be but we are aware of the challenge.'
