Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Wayne Rooney star in new Nike World Cup advert

Saturday, April 26, 2014 by Dailymail

It's every footballer fan's dream to appear at a World Cup and Nike have (sort of) made it a reality in their latest advert ahead of this summer's showpiece.

Entitled 'Winner Stays' it stars global icons Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Neymar alongside other football royalty as well as Ronaldo's girlfriend Irina Shayk in a brief cameo.

The film begins in a local park where two teams challenge each other to game. One of the players casts himself as Ronaldo while an opponent does similar as Neymar.

Simply the best: Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo also features in Nike's new pre-World Cup advert

Eyes on the prize: England's Wayne Rooney also appears, as he hopes to lead them to a second World Cup win

Instead of recreating the Portuguese and Brazilian's skills, these two amateur footballers become them - epitomising the dream of many aspiring footballers.

As a result of this transformation, other players start shouting the names of their heroes which sees the appearance of World Cup winners Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva as the advert turns into a plethora of some the manufacturer's biggest stars.

The American brand also showcases the look of its highly-anticipated Magista boot and reveals its first glimpses of the new Mercurial Superfly worn by Ronaldo.

This summer's World Cup in Brazil begins on June 12 with the likes of Ronaldo and co hoping to provide that match-winning moment for their country come the final on July 13.

Sealed with a kiss: Fleeting cameos in also include Ronaldo's Russian model girlfriend Irina Shayk
