CARSON, Calif. (AP) -- Robbie Keane scored a spectacular goal midway through the first half, Gyasi Zardes added another score before halftime and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat FC Dallas 2-1 on Wednesday night to end their four-game winless streak.

At home for the first time in 5 1/2 weeks, the Galaxy (3-3-3) climbed out of last place in the Western Conference, pulling two points ahead of Chivas USA, San Jose and Portland.

Los Angeles was 0-2-2 in its previous four games - all on the road - since winning on April 12.

''Two good goals,'' Galaxy coach Bruce Arena said.

''Obviously, Keane's was a spectacular finish, and Gyasi's in a good spot to put away that goal. I think it was a good night for us, and, obviously, the three points are important.''

FC Dallas (5-6-2) is winless in six games. It lost for the fifth time in six games and sixth in eight.

Keane scored in the 23rd minute, taking a long pass from Zardes, beating Jair Benitez on the dribble, and sending a 20-yard shot to the upper-left corner. He has six of Los Angeles' 10 league goals this year.

Zardes, making his first start since the March 8 opener, doubled the advantage in the 44th minute, finding space between three defenders at the edge of the 6-yard box to head home a chip from Juninho.

''(Zardes') goal is disappointing for us,'' FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja said.

''Once again, a lack of concentration. The game came down to that one play, where we lose a man there, and we give up another goal. It was difficult at that time to understand how we were losing that game 2-0.''

Rookie Tesho Akindele scored his first professional goal in the 65th minute for FC Dallas, first-timing a pass from Benitez, who had just knocked down an attempted pass by Kenney Walker. Los Angeles argued that Akindele was in an offside position.

The Galaxy were without forward Landon Donovan and defender Omar Gonzalez, who are involved in the U.S. national team's World Cup preparations in Northern California.

FC Dallas, without four regulars because of injuries, lost midfielder Andrew Jacobson to an apparent ankle injury on Keane's goal.
