Fabregas ruled out of Spain game
Monday, August 12, 2013 by Marca.comA medical examination upon his arrival in Barcelona this Sunday confirmed that Cesc Fàbregas has sprained the lateral collateral ligaments in his right ankle.
Barça's medical services contacted their counterparts at the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to advise them that the midfielder should not join up with the Spanish national team for its friendly in Ecuador in order for him to work on his recovery in Barcelona.
According to the Federation, Vicente Del Bosque will not call up a replacement for Cesc, meaning that now, only 20 players will travel with 'La Roja' to Ecuador next week.
Cesc could also miss his team's opening game of the league campaign against Levante at the Camp Nou in eight days time.
