Key Words: Italy Germany

With the qualification campaign for the 2014 World Cup nearing its decisive stages, a number of teams will be looking to book their ticket for next year's tournament on Tuesday.

Brazil has already been joined by Asian representatives Japan, Australia, Iranand South Korea, while a number of nations from Europe, North America and South America can also seal qualification this week.

In Group B of the UEFA qualifying campaign, Cesare Prandelli's Italy is on the verge of joining the aforementioned five teams. A win over Czech Republic will see the Euro 2012 finalist through, while even a draw could secure a ticket for Brazil if Bulgaria fails to win and the match between Denmark and Armenia ends in a draw as well.

Elsewhere, Germany can secure top spot in Group C - and subsequently a ticket for the World Cup - with a win over Faroe Islands and if Sweden does not bag three points against Kazakhstan.

Netherlands can qualify from Group D if it beats Andorra and second-placed Romania drops points versus Turkey, while even a draw could see Louis van Gaal's side qualify if the Romanians don't win and third-placed Hungary fails to beat Estonia.

Finally, Switzerland is the fourth and final team from Europe that is on the cusp of qualification. An away win over Norway would do the trick if Iceland draws its match versus Albania and Slovenia drops points against Cyprus.

In South America, both Argentina and Colombia can wrap up qualification on Tuesday if all results go their way. For the Colombians, a win or a draw against Uruguay will be enough to guarantee qualification for next summer's tournament. Alejandro Sabella's side, meanwhile, will be guaranteed a spot at the World Cup if it beats Paraguay, while a draw and no win by Uruguay would also be enough. Even a loss against the Paraguayans could see the team through, assuming Uruguay also loses its encounter versus Colombia.

Costa Rica can become the first CONCACAF representative to book a ticket for next year's showpiece. The team will have to beat Jamaica to achieve that, though, and will also need Mexico to drop points away to the USA or a Honduras loss to Panama.
