Belgium fans celebrated their victory against the USA in Salvador on Tuesday night after their side beat the USA 2-1 after extra time in an extremly exciting game.

As they left the Arena Fonte Nova, many supporters sang and danced after the win sent them into the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The game had ended goalless after 90 minutes, before Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku put the Red Devils 2-0 up in extra time.

Some Belgium fans felt the game shouldn't have made it that far.

SOUNDBITE (English): Kristof Hannot, Belgium fan:

"We should have finished these guys off 5-0 in regular time with just a little bit more luck. We can definitely cope with the tension of extra time - it's exciting, but it shouldn't have been the case. And we could have done with the 30 minutes of energy against Argentina."

Julian Green became the youngest USA goalscorer at a World Cup with a consolation goal and though the Americans tried hard, they could not find an equaliser.

SOUNDBITE (English): Sahel Gupta, USA fan:
"It was amazing. The US showed real spirit even though we were 2-0 down. We still came back against a team that is very good. We believed that we could win."

Although the USA are now out of the tournament, fans were by no means subdued by their team's performance, and were effusive in their praise for Jurgen Klinsmann's side.
Belgium will play their quarter-final match on Saturday against two-time champions Argentina.
