Switzerland fans in Geneva were left ruing their exit from the World Cup at the hands of Argentina after Angel Di Maria's last minute goal in the second half of extra time sent his side through to the quarter finals.
Swiss substitute Blerim Dzemaili almost equalised right before the end but his header hit the post, and the rebound bounced off his knee and wide of the goal.
After the game, the Swiss fans were confident that their team would have beaten their opponents if they had made it to penalties:

"It was a very good game. Very tight one. It's too bad. Two minutes (until penalty shootout). Only what they needed the Swiss was two extra minutes. I think they would have beaten the Argentineans in the penalties. This is sports. They did everything they could. I think physically they were better than the Argentineans but this is it, this is sports. Congratulations to the Argentineans and see you in four years."
SOUNDBITE (English): Argentina fan (no name given)
"I think Argentina clearly dominated. The Swiss did a great job at defending and closing down spaces for Argentina to play but ultimately, Argentina did dominate the match, created more chances and it was a question of time. It was going to take maybe ninety, 120 minutes even, but ultimately we won."
Argentina will face Belgium on Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.
