SOUNDBITE: (English), Gerard Houllier:
"I personally, some teams have been probably caught by the tempo of the game. They had a good preparation, they did everything right, you know they were really up for it but if you look at some countries, some nations, all their own players play in their own country - apart maybe some time for one or two - but that means that the football in their country has not developed to a certain level."
SOUNDBITE: (English), Gerard Houllier (on whether a fourth substitute should be allowed in extra time):
"When you see the intensity of the game at the moment, we would have less players with cramps. You probably notice at this World Cup that everything is going so quick, so fast, the tempo has been so high particularly when there has been a transition phase. So this is probably why first of all at the end of the game nearly a quarter of the goals have been scored in the final fifteen minutes of the game and also the fact that substitutes play such an important part - because they come with a freshness and of course the right attitude."
