They didn't win the World Cup but these Algerians are still record breakers, the country's first ever squad to reach the knock-out phase of the competition. And the brave fight they put up against Germany has earned them a hero's welcome back home.
The team had an open-top bus tour with thousands of fans lining the streets of Algiers.
Their World Cup started with a narrow 2-1 defeat to Belgium, they followed that up with a memorable 4-2 win against South Korea. In their final group match they fell behind to Russia but fought back to draw 1-1 and qualify for the next round.
There they faced the much fancied Germany and gave them one hell of a scare, the Europeans needed extra-time to see off Algeria who could walk away with their heads held high.
They played a significant part in what has the potential to be the greatest ever World Cup. 2018 can't come soon enough for their next adventure.
