SOUNDBITE (German) Manuel Neuer, Germany goalkeeper:

"Well, I think André Schürrle just put it right... Germany are not 100 per cent satisfied with the way we've played. But you also have to consider that when we've won at this World Cup we've done so deservedly. Some things didn't work well and our style of football certainly wasn't perfect. But nevertheless we finished all of our games bar one as the winners. That's key. I hope we can improve our style of football but in the end it's success that matters."

SOUNDBITE (German) Manuel Neuer, Germany goalkeeper (about his numerous runs and tackles outside the box during the match against Algeria):

"Of course I mustn't be late when I rush out from my goal, not even a split second. I am aware of that. I take the risk of committing a foul or sometimes in a worst case scenario even a red card -- I am aware of that. But I try to judge the situation correctly and I try to help the other players. That is my game and my style to play. So far it's always worked well."

SOUNDBITE (German) André Schürrle, Germany forward:

"I expect a very intense match against France. Both teams have got top players. So it'll be end-to-end stuff. But we should try and avoid an open fight because that would set the chances to 50:50. Germany always tries to dominate games, just as we've done in the past. If we do that, I'm sure we can win the quarter-final."
