Scolari discusses Colombia and Fred

04/07/2014 from:SNTV

Luiz Felipe Scolari spoke to the media on Thursday (3 July) ahead of Brazil's World Cup quarter-final against Colombia.

SOUNDBITE (Portuguese): Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil head coach:

"Colombia are more technical than Chile. Chile are more organised at the back and have a tremendous strength and play with tremendous spirit. They have a different dynamic. Colombia, as a whole, as a team, I think they are far better. But Colombia play more entertaining football so there is no "war" against Colombia."

SOUNDBITE (Portuguese): Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil head coach:

"I have no issues with Fred or leaving him on the bench. Technically I see nothing wrong with his game, I like what he is doing. He might not be scoring as many goals as he has done in the past but don't forget, in football opportunities will come by and when they do Fred is ready to take them. Regarding the game against Chile, I think it is being misinterpreted by some people."
