Belgium trained and spoke to the media in Brasilia on Friday (July 4th) ahead of their World Cup quarter-final meeting with Argentina.

SOUNDBITE: (French) Marc Wilmots, Belgium coach:
"I think that Ottmar Hitzfeld (Manager of Switzerland) is totally right, people tend to focus on Lionel Messi and rightly so, but this morning I watched Argentina's match against Switzerland and the team is not one single player but is a whole. It's a question of balance. But I saw that at some point they left a number of scoring opportunities to Switzerland."
SOUNDBITE: (Flemish) Marc Wilmots:
"I think you have being following us for the last two and a half years and we play compact football, we don't leave a lot of space. We have to attack together, attack together is all matter of balance between attack and defence, but it's a quarter-final, we can write history. Players know this and we're going to play our own game."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Jan Vertonghen, Belgium defender:
"(Lionel) Messi is not the only striker Argentina has and Higuain.... I spoke with (Dries) Mertens about (Gonzalo) Higuain. He's a big fan. He says that he is one of the best strikers he ever played with and beside him they have (Ezequiel) Lavezzi, (Sergio) Aguero is probably coming back and (Angel) di Maria and players on the bench so, we have to defend us as a team like we did in the other games and then we will be strong enough to stop them. I will be convinced of that."
