Brazil fans in Rio de Janeiro vented their anger after Neymar was ruled out of the World Cup.

The Barcelona winger fractured a vertebra in his spine when kneed in the back by Colombia's Juan Zúñiga in a challenge that went unpunished in Friday's quarter-final.

This fan said he wanted to 'cut off Zúñiga's head' as punishment for the tackle and criticised Fifa for not doing more to protect their star man.

Another supporter labelled Zúñiga 'a coward'. He went on to describe the challenge as worse than when Uruguay striker Luis Suárez bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini earlier in the tournament.

Other fans echoed those sentiments and Neymar will be sorely missed in their semi-final clash with Germany on Tuesday.

Brazil's chances of becoming world champions for the first time in 12 years suffered another massive further blow against Colombia. Captain Thiago Silva was also ruled out of the last four match through suspension after picking up a second booking of the tournament.
